Born in South Africa in 1941, Jenny Haig-Smith has dedicated her life to creativity—as an art teacher, a mother, and a grandmother. Now living in Swansea, Wales, she has embraced her retirement as an opportunity to fully pursue her passion for painting. Jenny’s vibrant, impressionistic oil paintings capture and highlight the beauty of nature, blending rich textures and harmonious colours. Each piece reflects a deep appreciation for the natural world, blending realism with artistic interpretation to evoke a sense of peace and nostalgia.

With the help of of her daughters, a selection of Jenny’s artwork is available for purchase at Isabel’s Place, Dungarvan, Ireland. If you would like to inquire about owning an original painting or a fine art print from her portfolio below, feel free to contact us.
Jenny also accepts a limited number of commissions each year, specialising in capturing the charm and character of homes. If you’re interested in commissioning a bespoke painting of your home, learn more about the process here.
